Revive Africa Initiatives challenges AU to prove Trump wrong with actions
TRUMP'S STATEMENTS ON AFRICA, AU SHOULD PROVE HIM WRONG, NOT BEG FOR APOLOGY.
We have keenly followed up on the reactions following the sarcastic,xenophobic and unholy statement made by the president of the United states of America Donald Trump, refereeing to Africa as a shit hole.
AU has come up with a demand for retraction and apology, even if he does, will it change his perception and the perception of millions of people that feels the same way as him about Africa?
In the first place it is the failure in leadership of African leaders over time that placed Africa in a state where others refer to Africa as a shit hole.
Why will they not call her a shit hole when our leaders have always left her fate in their hands to decide,when our leaders connive with them to exploit Africa for selfish purposes, when our leaders have continually embezzled the resources that would be used for the development of Africa with the aide of those from the western world.
Why would they not see Africa as a shit hole when our leaders enslave themselves to the western nations and always run to them for aide.
Our position is that African leaders and the leadership of African Union are the very people who have brought this global insult and embarrassment on Africa as a result of their actions and inactions over time.
Therefore we challenge African leaders to prove Trump wrong by their actions and not by begging for apology.
Prove to the world that Africa is not a shit hole by your actions and inactions, AU should sit and slam sanctions on America, African nations should severe relationship with America, boycott every patronage and business dealings with America, African Nations should stop trading with the American nations, they should be bold enough to take actions that will shake the economy of America and prove to the would that Africa is not a shit whole. The western economy is sustained with African resources yet they look down on us because our leaders have given them room to do so. African Nations should stop buying from or selling to America and let's see If Trump will not change his perception about Africa.
It is in a time like this that the real essence of the African union is brought to fore. If AU fails to take reasonable actions than a mere call for apology, then the very essence of its formation which is to first defend Africa is defeated and it should be dissolved.
No Nation can insult Europe and EU will be begging for apology. They will deal with you and make you regret every bit of your actions. If we must be respected as a continent, then we must first earn it.
We therefore call on the leadership to shock Trump and United state America with actions and not a weak demand for apology.
We are looking forward to meaningful actions from AU.
